Mr Li joined Jiangyin Xingcheng Special Steel of CITIC Pacific Special Steel in 1988. With a strong background in innovation and corporate management, Mr Li has held key positions across manufacturing, energy management, product development and sales and marketing. He was appointed president of CITIC Pacific Special Steel in April 2020. During his tenure, Mr Li worked closely with CITIC Pacific Energy, overseeing a number of strategic collaboration projects and accumulating extensive cross-industry knowledge and experience.

Mr Li is a senior fellow engineer with a metallurgical engineering doctorate from the University of Science and Technology Beijing and has led and participated in numerous national scientific and technological projects.
